Sup?
Name's Brandon, I'm a first year student at Eastern in Illinois. Majoring in Geology, minoring in Chemistry and maybe Math, if I can fit into my schedule. No real job plans, but it's not like Geology is a super-competitive field, so I should have plenty of options even if I have no idea what I want to do.
I'm not super computer savvy, or really good with layouts or whatever, so don't expect too much from me as far as cool layouts go.
Now, as my username suggests, I am a nerd, so expect most of my posts to be vaguely nerdy and/or something to do witch science.
Pretty much it.
As a nice way to cap of my first post, I'm including a link to a pretty cool youtube video.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAxj2ob_JoU&feature=player_embedded
basically, it's a guy climbing down into an active volcano. He stops about 100m above the lava pool, and I assume he has to have balls of motherfucking steel.
Volcanology is a field of Geology I considered going into, but 1) there's a rather steep death rate, and 2) I like being alive. Anyway, it's a really cool video
Liking the video! Good luck with the courses :)

ReplyDeleteRLBurrows: Thanks man
ReplyDeletelef: Yeah. Probably not right away, because I'm just in gen. Geology right now, but next semester I'm taking more degree orientated classes. And sure, I'll get on that.
Circlemaker: Thanks. And I guess so? Too much corn everywhere
Cool stuff! I'll be following!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see another earth science blog getting started. Get some good content going and I'll work to cross-promote on my EarthCurrent blog.
